What are the top 3 dream speakers you wanna buy next regardless of price?
Assuming cost no object, equipment matching no issue, wife no opinion, what are the top 3 dream speakers you wanna own and what is (are) your current speaker(s)?
Don’t worry about being the best ... nor most expensive ... they could be something you’ve never tried yet, and you feel intensely curious about...

Only one for me. Kii Three with the BXT. I am unaware of another choice in this particluar category option. Anything else would be simply exploring a different flavor. I had a ten year span where I was out of the hobby and not paying any attention to developments in the industry. I was disappointed to find out that most improvement was quite small and the same arguments go on and on. This product I feel is an actual step forward, not the little side steps and baby steps everyone seems to exaggerate as jaw dropping improvements. The hyperbole in this hobby is astonishing to say the least.
while I have and love Vandersteen 7 MK2 ( and his amps...I think your discussion sort of incomplete without nailing down amps...but no matter )... and there is a rear firing tweeter for certain source material lacking spatial cues, the big MBL 101 in a massive room driven by the magical refrigerator sized AMS-100 amp certainly can be intoxicating.......
Eric - you keep mentioning the mythical rotary sub, lets get drawings / permission from Bruce to build one...what is the fan diameter ?
@tomic601, the fan is the easy part. Getting it to spin at the correct speed in response to frequency is a bit trickier! Then there is the matter of the fan blades spinning around their axis'. Bruce Thigpen is a REAL smart guy.
Apogee Duetta Ultimates or Apogee Diva Ultimates by True Sound Works (or by one of the other Graz trained/supplied rebuilders/updaters). I plan to one day upgrade my Duetta Signature Series IIs to Ultimates. I’ve been hooked to the magnetostatic speaker sound since the 90’s.
Since I have 2 systems, the Rockport Lyra for my main rig and the MBL101e for my office system. I also would want a pair of the new JBL L100 with stands to just fool around with low wattage amps.
Dream speakers are Raidho D-3.1's, matched with a pair of JL Audio Fathom F112v2's. That or Magico M3's or Rockport Atria II's. My current speakers are Raidho XT-2's, matched with a pair of JL Audio E-110's. Dream on!
My Gryphon Kodo will blow all the others away, literally, including MBLs. I am glad one more poster mentioned Kharma Exquisite. This would in fact be my normal choice. With Studer deck and Lamm power amps this should do it.
2. Alsyvox planars which is similar to Apogee planar speakers that I had used from 1989 to 1999.
Speakers cost around 80K$ and matching amplifier 20K$.
3. JBL DD67000
which has unlimited dynamics.
Speakers cost around 40K$ and I can use my current SET amplifier with its high efficiency.
Actually, I can afford this without winning lottery but I need permission from my wife to use living room as second listening space for this big speaker.
But without wining lottery I am happy with my current speaker of Lansche 4.1 driven by Line Magnetic 508 SET or Silbatone 300B SET.
Frankly, however, I would not buy any of those. This is all utopia, there are no realistically sounding speakers. There are many problems in the way of achieving it and the first one is signal conversion. We hear electricity imitating reality, sometimes pretty good. But it's imitation, it's not a reality. Save your money, get something modest and decent for $25k-$50k depending on room size and music preferences and call it a day. There are better ways of wasting financial resources.
I really wanted the tannoy Arden Legacy and then I went and got them ...... organic music I wanted ..... makes me hanker for Westminsters but would need the stately home to match them properly.

@inna Of course it is fine with much cheaper systems. I can't afford any of the speakers mentioned in this thread right now (or I don't want to put all my money on that). That doesn't mean it is wrong to dream about them.
Regarding that it is not reality, that is true but I can't get all musicians and bands I like to play at my house whenever I want so I will have to keep living with this imitation. And getting that imitation better and better is something I would like.
