Recommendation for amp

I recently purchased a Harbeth P3 ESR SE for my desktop.  Now I am looking for a good integrated amp with a small footprint within a $1-2K budget. All my listening will be digital sourced.   Any recommendations?

The Bel Canto C5i has ample power and also a good onboard DAC that sounds like you could also use.  Best of luck
Willsenton R8 driving Harbeths should sound amazing.  May not meet the footprint requirements, and may not play to ear bleed levels, but should be a treat to listen to.

Coincident Technology Dynamo 34 SE MK III.Superb performance, dead quiet and small foot print.
Nam. Uniti atom small does it all amp dac streamer and sounds great on harbeths

Also has airplay and android connectivity

You said ’a’, did you mean ’a pair’?

sensitivity 83, that is very low, how big is the space?

I’m driving wharfedale 225s, sensitivity 87 with 10 wpc tube amp, and a 12" sub to keep it from sounding small. yours will want more power for sure.

any space restraints?

this pair of amps being sold here would probably be great if you have the space for one, or both of them

best if preamp has pre-out (to sub for it’s amp to handle the bass) and main in (back from sub without low bass), gives both the amp and small speakers a break, they both do a better job easily.

With those Harbeth's, a little power goes a long way to helping them open up and sound great.  If you don't need built in streaming, I would look at the Rogue Sphinx.  It is in the middle of your budget.  Just plan to roll in some NOS tubes as the stock tubes are mediocre.  Add $200 to $250 for those tubes.  This is a 100w amp.

If you need streaming, the NAD C368 with BluOS module would be my choice.  It is $1449 and a tremendous amp for the money considering the features and delivers 80w.

I have no relationship with Rogue, I am an NAD dealer.
truth is, many decent amps can work well with the baby harbeths

like all good speakers, they are fairly revealing of the source, so choose wisely

harbeths have good transparency but a warm overall tone, so if you like even more of that character then pick a tube amp - conversely, if you like more a see through, hear through, extended sound, then pick a good solid state unit

as harbeths have relatively relaxed treble presentation, even the lesser sharper sounding solid state units can sound pretty good... not as good as an ultra pure, more nuanced amp like a pass or ayre or hegel that will allow the speaker to do its magic in imaging and midrange palpability, but still pretty good
Assuming you will be at your desk while listening to the Harbeths, you wouldn't need a ton of power.  For a small footprint integrated amp, I would highly recommend the Rega Brio - it's half-size, 50wpc (8ohms), non-fatiguing sound.

If you intend to sometimes listen from a distance and want to fill a larger space, then more power would be required.
@smrex13 makes a great point, desktop application and small footprint desired... rega unit or psa sprout or w4s mint would work nicely - all with half wide chassis, decent sound

we all tend to spew out our favorites (myself guilty of this too) but it is important to note specifically what the op is asking for
I would by a good class ab integrated used that would work out great for them you could get a great used amp for 2k that would light them up.
PS Audio Sprout or Peachtree Nova 150.  I used the Peachtree for several years before upgrading to seperates.  Highly recommend.  Haven't used the Sprout but heard very good things about it.

Recommendation for amp

Harbeth P3 ESR SE

They’ve got an easy load, even for a tube. But don’t go big in loudness before distortion sets in, and only 83db so >50w/8ohm would be nice.

This US made integrated would be ideal, also has headphone amp if you can stretch the budget a little more. And can be loaded up with dac and/or phono stage as well if needed.

Hi,

Harbeth are serious speaker, would need something decent to get them to play at its best. Have a look at the combo Simaudio Moon 740P + 760A or some Nelson Pass gear like the INT-60 or the XP-32 with XA160.8.

Hope this helps.

I can vouch for the PSAudio Sprout 100...small form factor, great DAC, BT included, excellent clarity and lotsa power.
My Belles Aria integrated sounds great with some Rogers LS3/5a’s so I would expect it to do the same for the Harbeths.

IF you are exploring to purchase the PS AUDIO STRATA, I share my experience with you on this product:

I have owned the Stella Strata for about two months and to be blunt, it's been nothing short of a nightmare.

Basically the unit's streaming software does not work.

The unit repeatedly locks-up despite a few half hearted firmware updates released in May 2020:

Version 1.2.29
Date May 30, 2020
File image.bin
Description
Initial release.
 Fixes for logo led blinking and unit lockup
 Fixes for audio playing at zero volume
 Fixes for factory reset menu
 Fixes for no audio when playing SACDs via DMP hooked to Strata
 Fix for buttons not showing on pop-ups
 Fix for wifi enable
 Space char added to password character set.

This issue was well documented amongst the beta testers. I naively trusted PS Audio had fixed the issue when released it mid-2020.

As of Dec. 2021, even PS Audio customer support no longer responds as they have no clue on how to resolve this issue.

Despite a decent SQ, I strongly advise avoiding the PS Audio Strata.

It's clearly not ready for primetime and is cynically released to the public.

*As a follow-up - I ended up purchasing a $400 iFi streamer to bypass the software of a $3000 machine.

Just a complete waste of time and money. If you're an international customer, good luck with after-sales support

Flyby alert!!!  OP MIA since initial post, so probably not worth wasting time responding.
