What's your latest album purchase?

I like to read threads about albums like "the greatest soundstage", "greatest vinyl" etc. There's a lot of great tips to pick up in those!
But I did'nt find a thread here where you can post "your latest purchase".
So..

Here's the cache from this morning's record store run. All used vinyl in excellent condition....

Bob Dylan - The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
The Clash - Give 'em Enough Rope

Dave,

Thanks for the update. Second post by me removed from this thread. I agree; the word is getting out. I understand different opinions; but just nonsense is a disservice to those seeking help and reliable info.

Hi nkonor,

My post was also removed by the moderators. All my post contained was a link to jafant’s self-posted Virtual System, no commentary whatsoever. Apparently, all that is necessary to have a post removed from Audiogon forums is for anyone (guess who) to report it, whether or not (as in this case) it violates Agon’s stated rules.

That’s okay. The message is getting out and the truth is finding its way to the membership, even if to only a few members at a time.

Dave
dicockrum,

May I ask if you removed your post from the Thiel thread or were you modded like me?
Sgt Peppers 50th anniversary (2) LP vinyl. It should have been mixed like this 50yrs ago. The alternate takes are a bit interesting but maybe once a year. Good clean 180gr vinyl.
Well worthwhile in the scheme of Beatle recordings.

Mark Lanegan, anthology "Has God seen my shadow". If you haven't heard this guy & you're into indie rock, check him out. He has a very distinctive voice & a blues edge. He's a great musician. I started listening to him when he released "bubblegum" & have bought several of his albums since, this one being the latest. Sound quality is around a 7 (good but not great).

Phish, their latest "Big boat". This is a solid album from the band. I have tickets to see them next month & am looking forward to that. Sound quality on this one is again about a 7 IMHO.

Thank for help

Vanessa Hernandez "When the Levee Breaks"
All three of Lyn Stanley's 45rpm albums
...your description of the Nora Jones had me laughing hard.

Hope you've heard "Come Away With Me". Most likely her best in terms of SQ.

Cheers!
soniqmike,

Try "Live in Paris", it may be a game changer for you.

Admittedly, mine is the ORG pressing but the energy Diane and her feedback from the audience is pretty remarkable. It (makes) this recording even more special!

Cheers!
My first real bargain find in the pre-owned realm:

Robert Palmer's "Clues", the promotional use only edition in mint condition. I paid $4 at a local tobacco/news store that recently put a few boxes of vinyl and a small sign in the front window.
Last three (Vinyl) purchases from most recent down:

1. Beatles - Abbey Road (wanted to compare sonics with CD box set I own)

2. Diana Krall - Walflower - My first vinyl of her, and my last. She is now Spotify material to me. Uninspired, and barely ok for background music at dinner time. An el-cheapo beat-box drum machine for California Dreaming?

3. Norah Jones - Little Broken Hearts (double-vinyl)  to put it simply, sounds like it was recorded in a subway station on a normal-bias TDK cassette. On the plus side, great music to fall asleep on. Make sure you have someone to lift the tonearm at the end of track 1, side 1.
my very latest,

The Decemberists "The Crane Wife" 10th Anniversary box set (lp)
Hank Williams-Gold
Melissa Manchester-Silver Anniversary
Mapleshade Music Festival
Beck-Sea Change HDCD
Picked up over the weekend

Rush - Moving Pictures (from local record store)

Atlantic Jazz - 12 album box set (three of the albums are double LP's) This is fantastic. it was less than $60.00 including shipping.
Atlantic Jazz Box Set 15 x LP Atlantic Records 7 A1-81712 Be Bop~Avant garde

Just received it tonight. bought it on Ebay, Rikki Lee Jones, Pirates MFSL SACD.
Donald Fagen - The Nightfly. Vinyl of course. I've had the CD forever then I saw a vinyl version just a few days ago. Bought it for peanuts. Sounds great and in great shape too.

Bill Evans "live at the Top of The Gate" Box set, Vinyl

Jackie Mclean "Destination" Vinyl

Led Zeppelin "Greatest Hits Box set", Vinyl

All LPs:

Santana- "Abraxas" on MOFI UD1S

Weezer-"Blue" album on MOFI Blue Vinyl

Little Feat-"As Time Goes By"  Greatest Hits

Warren Zevon- "A Quiet Normal Life"  Greatest Hits

A hard to find LP on the Sound Storage Recording Company label with music by Bondon and Debussy performed by the Carter Chamber Ensemble, SSR 2020. This is one of the most realistic, immediate and natural sounding recordings I've ever heard.
Pink Floyd "Meddle" - the 2016 reissue with Bernie Grundman as the cutting engineer.
Chris Robinsons " This Magnificent Distance"   a great album from 2004 that unfortunately not many people have heard....
RSD brought me:
