(Fun music)

Alright.. we have our own "go to" music, we have a reliable music collection. What happens when we need something more? Why more?  I can't answer this. It's just a need... a gut reaction to the lack of "fun music" in our lives.

Here's my latest "Fun Music":

Timbuk 3 "Eden Alley"

Dengue Fever "S/T"

What's your "fun music"?

Thirteenth Floor Elevators:  You're Gonna Miss Me
Love:  My Little Red Book
Easybeats:  Friday on my Mind
Animals:  See See Rider
Hendrix:  Fire. Manic Depression
Beatles:  A Hard Day's Night, You Can't Do That, Helter Skelter
They Might Be Giants:  Istanbul/Constantinople
Mother's Finest-"Another Mother Further"

Head East-"Flat As A Pancake"

Fleetwood Mac-"Kiln House"
Currently listening to:

Donny Hathaway "Live"

What makes this "Fun Music" for me, is the interaction of the audience!
B-52's
The Gourds
Southern Culture on the Skids
Jimmy Buffett
Earth, Wind, & Fire
Chuck Berry
Congrats. I think "Sun Goddess" from that album is probably my favorite EWF song. At 7.40, it never got any radio airplay, but it has such a solid groove with Ramsey Lewis playing no less.
The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, NRBQ, The Skeletons, The Ramones, The Lyres, The Rubinoos, Nervous Norvus, Junior Brown, Commander Cody.
Maybe not "fun" but I've always enjoyed The Doobie Brothers' music. Always positive and happy and sincere.

Just listened to..."What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits".
.by the way, I saw The Doobies for the first time, right after this lp was released in Cameron Indoor Stadium. I look upon that experience fondly!
Steve Goodman:  It's a Sin to Tell a Lie
Take Me Out to the Ball Game (with Jethro Burns)
Dan Hicks:  choose a track at random, pretty much.

Jeff Beck’s Rock and Roll Party. Great live sound and just fun, fun, fun.

Also Sunshine by Davina and the Vagabonds.  Gotta hear this act live somewhere!

Three Dog Night "Mama Told Me Not To Come"
Doctor Hook & the Medicine Show "I Call That True Love"
The majority of ...
Chet Atkins/Mark Knopfler "Neck n Neck"
Little Village " Solar Sex Panel". "She Runs Hot"
Lindisfarne "Roll On Ruby"

This is a double feature in that it is also an under-performing pressing. I own a 2nd pressing on Charisma and a WLP.

Walking on Sunshine (Katrina and the Waves) is the first song that comes to mind.
Last night it was "It's a Beautiful Day". Not a great sounding CD but I love it just the same.
NRBQ, Loudon Wainwright III, The Skeletons/Morells, The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band.
Pretty much anything by Webb Wilder but "Doo Dad" is great fun all the way thru.

Anything by The Tubes, "Completion backward principal" is a blast - "Sushi Girl" is a fun ride all by itself :)
The Beach Boys just brings a feeling of sunshine, dancing and southern California coast.
