8-10 hrs. Wish can do more, but with wife and two kids...... |
12-16hrs. There was another thread on this topic, not so long ago. Could help you with the stats! Cheers! |
This time of year I'm lucky if I get 2-4 hours a week. I have 3 boys who play on 7 different baseball teams. I coach 2 teams, so not much listening between March through July. After the season about 12- 16 hours a week. |
Listening time all depends on what may be going on, but I will typically listen 3-4 hours in the weekday evenings and 8-10 hours over the weekends, on average. Of course, this is not all "critical listening" time - it's "enjoy it" listening time, often with a book as companion late in the evenings. |
25 to 30 hours per week. Cheers. Craig |
12 hours of critical listening per week; with kids 7, 9, and 11 I'm busy much of the time. Jeff |
Sometimes much less if I'm travelling. |
I listen critically about 25 hours a week. I consider my sound system my finest mental relaxation. I threw out the TV years ago. I can easily justify the financial outlay considering the amount and quality of stress relief it provides |
Unless there is a good gulf game on tv I,d say 25-30 on critical listening.I have the music going constantly on background. steve |
For me about 8 hrs right now. Similarly to many of you, it will be more in the winter. Just bought a new (to me) table, so looking forward to increasing my hours and re-discovering much of my vinyl. |
Average 2hrs/day week days, rest on week-ends. |
10 to 20 hours a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. You still need to read your bible and talk to your family you know. It is difficult because, and I am sure that many of you are the same, when I listen to music, that is all I want to do. No reading, no talking, no video screen. I do enjoy listening partners like my wife or my kids and others. But if I am listening, then I like to concentrate on the music. It is very fulfilling. I do not see how the masses sit and watch TV for 5 hours in a night but I get the same from those about my listening to music the same. Am I weird? Don't answer. But Sweet highs ( without smoking a fatty, I am a reality freak now ) and wide soundstage is so entertaining. |
An almost 20 year old thread!
I was going to ask the same question, but here we are...
I’ll add my hours (hopefully more will chime in). I’d say 10-14 hours for myself per week on average.
Wife. No kids. Full-time job + extra shifts if desired. Late 30’s. |
COVID times, 16 hours a week.
Pre COVID maybe 4 hours a week due to travel and other hobbies.
|
If I am awake for 14 hours a day then about 12 hours a day, even in the shower. One system or another runs perpetually. If you mean ultra serious listening than I would say 1-2 hours daily 48 weeks of the year. |
Easily 20 hours plus a week. My main source of entertainment. Also my first choice in entertainment, with the exception of live mesic shows. |
