Looking for speakers in a large vaulted great room

I have a large great room that we are building that will have the dining room in between the great room and the kitchen.  The 2 rooms combined will be about 21’ wide by 30’ long to the edge of the kitchen.  The room is vaulted, and will have a wall of glass, sliding glass doors and windows on one side leading to the outside.  Needless to say this is not an ideal listening room, but I would like to have some speakers that fill the space with music.  I am not trying to do surround sound, just 2 channel from one end, opposite the kitchen.  There will be a fireplace at that end, and I could do floor speakers or bookshelf, although there will be a window on either side of the fireplace, so the bookshelf speaker would have to sit on top of a built in-cabinet below the windows.  Not looking to add anything to the walls, trying to make the room an enjoyable space with great sounding music.  Willing to look at used speakers as well. Any thoughts?

McIntosh made speakers and still makes speakers (although now very expensive) that are made to fill a large room with High Quality sound. One of the first ever made was the XRT 20 speaker system. You can still find these today and if you feed them 500wpc of good clean power you’ve got a live Orchestra in your room! (regardless of size) And these go flat up against the wall, they are acoustic suspension not bass reflex design.

Yeah so what if you don't have a perfect room.  I think a huge room like that is a unique opportunity to hear music in a different space.  I would get something that you like the looks of.  That is probably pretty important if you have to keep your partner happy with the looks.  Just get some big floor standers if have the room.  I'd get something used with a big bang for the buck.  You won't go wrong with any Wilson or Dynaudio or yes Klipsch Cornwall would be good too.  I would get something I like the looks of first of all.  Klipsch and Wilson are really different (I own both) they both have their merits.  The both look really different too, likely one will fit your aesthetic more than the other.

I'm late to this discussion, but I think you need to really pay attention to the reality that in that shared space, you are going to have to keep your speakers pretty much against the wall. So I recommend the Larsen series of speakers (and apologies if someone already has. - I tried to read through this long chain). Their speakers are designed to work right up against a wall - they don't work well if you don't place them there. Reviews have always been very positive, and they come in many sizes and prices.

When I was a young boarding school teacher (early/mid 80's), the small apartment that came with the gig didn't have much room to accommodate speakers into the room. I used Linn speakers that were designed to be place hard against the wall, and they worked perfectly with my Naim amps and Linn turntable. It's a matter of "Horses for courses," and I bet Larsen could be a good match for you.

It must be a vast vaulted room if you have to look for the speakers.
