What's up with the verification?

For the past couple of weeks, when I access this site, I have to find all the boats, buses or planes before I can get on the site. Is it just me or is everyone doing this? It is getting old real fast. Why do long time and very established members have to do this? No other site I belong to does this.

After 4 days of clicking on buses and lions, I finally am able to logon to Audiogon.

If this continues, I think I'll just move on to other forums.

@bslon, I have Edge set up so that it deletes my browser history every time I close it out.  So, it’s not that.

I never liked MS Edge, preferring Google Chrome on the Win10 PC and have no Audiogon issues. I too never log off Agon. Most of the time I’m using a 4 year old iPad Pro with updated Safari, no issues there either. I haven’t seen a Captcha since the Agon update. I hope you can figure it out, I blame Edge. Maybe clearing your browser’s history would help.

On a similar thread just last week it was made evident that A'gon is fighting new attacks of spam and scammers. No need to hyperventilate. They're on it.

The only Catcha routines I went through was when they implemented the new system with easier posting of links, photos, videos, etc. Haven't had any of it since and my OS is on a 12 year old iMac with an out of date browser.

All the best,
Nonoise

I posted a similar thread.

One day I can connect easily, another day, it takes multiple attempts to get to the login page.

This is quite unacceptable, and if it keeps up, I will abandon Audiogon.

Oh and I never see the I’m not a robot box when I reply to a post either.

I’m sorry I can’t be any help, but I’m glad it’s not happening to me!

Using an older IPad, I just started a new topic and I clicked the I’m not a robot box and it gave me the green check mark and I hit create. No mountains, no cars or street lights.
Next time I’ll try on my desktop and Safari.

@jetter,   I never sign out of Audiogon or delete the cookies.  I bought this computer in March of this year and never experienced this until a couple of weeks ago.   When I use Safari on my iPad, I get a “checking for secure connection”, then it connects perfectly without jumping through hoops. It’s a real PIA.

@stereo5 About a month or two ago this was happening every time I made a post.  I do not sign off of Agon at all or remove its cookies so not identical to your situation.

But after about a week or so it stopped.  Maybe your computer is new and somehow the Agon software needs to do whatever computers do to recognize it?

I am using Windows 10 and Edge.

@lalitk,    I am running Windows 11 and use the Microsoft Edge browser that comes wit it. I also use Windows Defender anti-virus and Malwarebytes.  I am already using the latest and greatest version of Microsoft Edge.  I really don’t want another web browser and had already tried Opera and Firefox which I really didn’t care for.  I would think Audiogon would work fine with Microsoft Edge seeing as it comes in ALL new Windows based computers. Do you know why all of a sudden Audiogon is doing this and doesn’t it bother anyone else?
