synergistic research orange blue fuse direction.

Hi, I have two 611s, one 302 and one 452 McIntosh amps, and I just purchased three Synergistic Research (SR) Orange fuses. I also received one SR Blue fuse free with the purchase of the SR blue receptacle. Would someone advise me with some specificity on the directional installation of the Blue and Orange fuse. Again all the amps are McIntosh.

Thanks.

I really do encourage you to acquire through purchase or your local library an introductory text on electronics so that you can "connect the dots" as Americans would say regarding you're incomplete knowledge base also "Google is you're friend" is a very popular expression for a very valid, sound, understandable reason.
"....if it’s an AC signal, why does the directionality matter?"

It doesn't.

This is catnip for the superhumans on this thread who claim they can hear a difference :). Keep on spending, good laughing material 😁

Clearthink. If you are going to be a total troll"

Why don't you focus you're energies, thinking, and reasoning on audio and music and stop trolling me.
Oh come on Clearthink, that troll is even lower than your trolling standards. Now I get that somehow I have triggered you into trolling me, but I suggest perhaps you may wish to show some respect for other forum members and not troll every post I make, which are at least related to the topic and are not personal attacks. I am sure others may be tiring of your repeated trolling of my posts.
I knew there was a darn good reason I had not bothered to read this thread previously and George proved to be it.

Good Lord man what is WRONG with you that you have to visit EVERY fuse thread and spout off the same arrogant Ill informed spew?
And your direct insults to many well known, established and respected members here is deplorable!

You should count yourself lucky that the majority here are not as mean and vindictive as you are.
Or a very lengthy vacation from this forum would likely be on your horizon!

Now relax a little please George!
George should have no problem relaxing. Just needs to close his eyes. His ears it appears have been closed for years.

To all those here that are thinking of blowing a $160 on a $1 fuse, don’t!!.
Don’t get sucked into this snake oil.
Even the fuse manufacturers won’t post here and back the claims made by these fusers for liability reasons.

The only reason a change of fuse "could" make a sonic difference, is if the old fuse (a $1 or $160) one has seen too many turn-on cycles, as this always stresses the fuse with current surge, causing them to crystallize and harden "over time" re the time laps pics of the same $1 fuse, in two different cases below.

This "could" make them sound different. The fix is just to replace the $1 fuse with the same new $1 fuse, instead of blowing $160 on a fancy looking voodoo fuse.

Left to right aging same fuse.

Thx GEORGE.
So predictable.
Wondered why you had not trotted out that tired and worn pastiche yet.
So glad we can depend on you to save us from ourselves.
Mijo?
You cannot hear the difference with a boutique fuse you are saying?
🤔🤔

Unless you're a troll, why are you on this forum? Go away
georgehifi nailed it straight on.
Talk to any old pro industrial electrician they'll have a great gallery of element embrittlement stories to share.

@geoffkait  " The reason it’s called common sense is because it’s so common. Thanks for playing anyway."

I guess then that I am just a commoner doomed to struggle day to day with only electronics and the sciences as a guide.  Never to attain the lofty goal of extolling nonsense as truth and truth as nonsense.  I can only take solace in the fact that there are so many of us and so few of you.
Unfortunately I have to say that GK is dead wrong.....
