I only have a dozen SACD’s, so I ripped the DSD layer. I went online and found one of a bunch of players and a small open source program. The player was cheap and the software was free.

@audphile1 My understanding is that that the Shanling 1) if playing a SACD and using the internal dac then it converts to PCM before it reaches the R2R dac, as the dac is only capable of receiving pcm. 2) if playing an sacd and using digital out, as long as you use I2s it is DSD, any other output will be DOP. 3) If using the r2r dac then pcm.
