CD/SACD player Under $4000

Looking for a new player. My Sony XA5400 won't play sacd's. Tried a new laser assembly but still won't play sacd's. Like to find something at least as good as the Sony. Does not need to be a network player. Open for suggestions!

I only have a dozen SACD’s, so I ripped the DSD layer. I went online and found one of a bunch of players and a small open source program. The player was cheap and the software was free.

Just a thought.

What is the problem with companies that make LASER based players? If it is known that the LASER has a finite lifespan (say, 10 years), why don't they include a replacement or two in the box? This is such an easily fixable problem for any thinking person.

I understand the Denon DCD-3000NE is supposed to be good.  I don't have any knowldge of it's performance other than favorable reviews.  Just one to check out.

As of today on the TMR  (The Music Room) website, there is currently an article titled, Most Viewed CD and Transports at TMR This week. There are a number of CD, SACD Players and Transports featured that are well in your price range. It might be worthwhile for you to take a look…

Happy hunting!
