Stereophile - Sabrina 5

Hate to rag on Sterophile again, but one of two things are true.  One, the Sabrina speakers they reviewed were wired incorrectly or Wilson is now shipping with inverted midranges.

All that work to reduce distortion to vanishing levels only to totally ahem, add custom flavor to the frequency response.

Honestly if I was reviewing this speaker I'd have stopped to reach out to them before publishing, just to be sure this speaker shipped as intended.

I skimmed through the review and I didn't see anything about an incorrectly wired driver either...

I'd be absolutely shocked if a speaker left the Wilson factory with a mis-wired driver, especially when it's going to a reviewer.

It reads to me that Peter McGrath was there when he set up the loudspeakers.  He did not note any aberrations with the loudspeaker.  The reviewer also has extensive experience with Wilsons.  The design and sound of the loudspeaker is how they intended.

@dpac996 - are you suggesting that nobody should criticize anything that they can't do better themselves?

I thought I read somewhere, a long time ago, that Wilson wired the midrange inversely.  I don't recall the model, or whether this applies to all models.
