Sonus Faber Olympica Nova 2 vs Nova 3

I just moved into a new apartment in Jerusalem and am considering the Sonus Faber speakers as asside from sounding real good they really look beautiful.

I thought the Nova ii would work well for me - but I can get the Nova iii for just $2,500 more than the Nova ii.

Is the Nova iii a significant improvement sound-wise over the Nova ii ?

Also does the Nova iii  appear physically much larger the Nova ii ? I have a nice size living room - but the stereo system will be in my living room so I am concerned with the size of the speakers ?

Thx,

S

How large is your living room?

The primary difference between the Nova ii and Nova iii is that the latter has an additional woofer for more bass output. The iii shouldn’t sound any better than the ii in terms of midrange and treble. If you have to place the speakers relatively close to walls, I would just go with the Nova ii, unless the room is quite large.

Thanks for your response My Living Room / Dining Room area is a large rectangle of 18 x 25 feet - but the speakers will be on the longer wall facing the couch/chair (less than) 18 feet away and the speakers also won't be out in the middle room but more like maybe 2 feet off the wall.

I thought maybe the Nova iii had a different overall design than the Nova ii and thus maybe had a better midrange and treble.

Thanks
