RMAF vs AXPANO

Hi.
I would like to know the differences between RMAF and AXPANO?
Thank you

Original Post would like to add:
I attended to RMAF 2016 and really enjoyed it and will do it again. I was able to see, listen and meet a lot of gears and designers. Axpano 2018 is coming up in Chicago in May and I'm curious what it is about. What am I expecting diff from RMAF? Thanks again
AXPONA. Chicago, around April. It's on the web.

Good show, lot's to see. New venue this year, so jury's out on room sound.
If you read the letters in Stereophile, then there is one in Jan-2018 where a gentleman shares his experience at RMAF. Basically he says how snobbish that show was and people looked down upon him (that is the feeling, he says he got) when he requested certain type of music to be played. I have not been to RMAF, so cannot confirm. Don't shoot the messenger, just read the letter in Stereophile. It is a sad situation if that case is true. As such our hobby is dying and snobbishness is not going to get us anywhere. In fact it will diminish this hobby even at a faster rate.

But I have been to AXPONA twice and it has been nothing but wonderful. I did not detect any snobbishness and they played any music that I requested. I highly recommend AXPONA. The only thing I would say is plan on spending AT LEAST 2 FULL days. And even then you would still want more.
You are welcome @nasaman. Do carry a USB pen-drive with your favorite music. Majority of the demonstrations now use Tidal or some streaming service, so finding music should not be an issue.
Have fun!
@nasaman Please see the link below regarding AXPONA. I attended AXPONA last year for the first time and beforehand asked what I could expect. I got great answers that turned out to be almost exactly correct.

I usually attend rmaf each year and have attended CES a few times years ago when I was something. Rmaf 2016 was the worst show I have ever attended. Nobody knew that they were remodeling and most of the rooms were way to small and sounded terrible. I didn’t go last year because I heard the remodeling made the rooms worse for audio. The people that I know who went indicated it wasn’t their finest.
Newport was an up and coming show until the rivalry between the LA show.
There might be too many shows that will make manufacturers to pick and choose which show they will attend which will make each show smaller.

Indeed, quite a few shows are competing for the same exhibitors and press.

Yes, Rocky 2016 was a disaster due to the hotel not delivering the remodel in time.  It created a cascading effect of exhibitors pulling out.  The place was like a morgue.

2017 RMAF was back to "normal".  I honestly don't think the new rooms at the 2017 show were responsible for the preponderance of bad sound, however.  Frankly, I find 85% of the rooms at any show to have terrible sound, so in this sense, RMAF was consistent with my expectations.

Some of this has to do with my taste of course, and some of this is just downright mediocrity (not in any way system price related).  I heard some great sounding budget systems and atrocious sounding 6-figure systems that grace the covers of the glossy mags.

Cheers,
