What happened to Rotel?

I feel Rotel's product quality has significantly gone down hill along with their service. I would never purchase a Rotel product ever again. I purchased a Rotel RSP-1576 only four years ago and now the volume occasionally VERY low, barely audible even turning the volume to near max. Completely unplug it would resolve the issue and make the volume return to normal. I tried to obtain warranty services through Rotel but was told I need a physical receipt despite I submitted it upon product registration. Their service is absolutely horrible and would try to deny your warranty claim for any little reason they can find. Worst of all, they don't have an actual office here but only a distributor, so their actual manufacturing entity isn't bound by US Consumer laws and there's no way to file a lawsuit against them. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND

Volume control on my Rogue RP-1 went wonky.  Out of warranty as well. I called them up and got a person on the phone.  Shipped it out , got it back in totally acceptable time frame and its been running great for several years now.   Cost me a few hundred but worth every penny.  I fired them off an email the other day about upgrading my current unit to the new v2 and got an email back (OVER THE WEEKEND!)  with and answer and pricing.

Same experience from Bryston on a out of warranty discontinued product.

LAWD have mercy.

never liked them even back in the 70s.  the question is why would you when there are so many other options

Someone put Anthem and NAD in the class as Rotel. What an insult to Anthem and NAD,

Very happy with my few years old Rotel CD11 Tribute and 20+ year old RMB-1095 home theater amp ... never needed service...

Had a two year old Michi M8 go into "overcurrent protection mode" sent it to New Ventures, the US distributor, they do everything possible to deny warranty service. Will never buy a Rotel product again.
