Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've said it before, I'll say it again, it is Environmentally IRRESPONSIBLE to leave your equipment on for long periods of time, before or after, or truly despicable, ON all the time!

On, 20 mins, listen, done, off!

Doctors, Lawyers, Trust Fund Kiddos, come on now.

Where were you in 1970?, I was there in Manhattan (went to college at Pratt in Brooklyn 1966-1970)

@csmgolf I also hit on the population issue but I didn’t get the credits crying I might've even been the first.

Jk. The issue with world population is it shows no sign of slowing down or coming to a halt. It will one day, either by choice or by nature. And nature won’t be pretty.

My opinion about the amplifiers being wasteful is even if we become the most responsibly users, it wouldn’t change a thing. Heck, if all amplifiers become 90% class D efficiency tomorrow. It still wouldn’t change any problem we have. Except a slightly higher energy bill.

Prove me wrong. Here’s an actual difference. Jail more criminals, and make criminals work. There’s no place on earth where you get shelter and food without working.

@samureyex

That certainly wasn't an intentional slight. I agree that when (not if) nature decides to correct our course, it won't be pretty.

@samureyex - so you think we should use incarcerated inmates, who may or may not actually be guilty of what they are in there for, as slave labor? That is not unknown in some countries.

Heck, if all amplifiers become 90% class D efficiency tomorrow. It still wouldn’t change any problem we have. Except a slightly higher energy bill.

The problem is its easier to do nothing than something.   Even if it's something relatively easy to do.  If enough people care and do something, maybe something significant WOULD happen.

We all share the same planet and are in it all together no matter what.   That’s a fact!  So isn’t it better to be safe than sorry?   At least for the benefit of our children?
