how to use Aurliac Altair G1 - no lightning DS App anymore

for those recommending JPLAY:

All I use the Auralic for is playing ripped CDs that I have on an external SSD and Qobuz.

I assume you can do that straight from the app and it's pretty srtaightforward?

@babyseaotter99 that is what I do too. As I mentioned JPlay works fine except I can't get it to play gapless with my G1 even thought I have it set to gapless for my device within the JPlay setting. You may or may not have the issue or need gapless playback. I think it's worth it to try JPlay. 14 day trial period so nothing to lose.

You cam use the following…Roon, Jplay, Lumin, Linn Kazoo

It will, at some point, become a paper weight  may be sell it or trade it in for something that’s still supported?

Linn Kazoo is being retired I believe, it was recommended by Linn to download the Linn app which I did. I used the Linn app a few years ago and it worked fine with no gapless playback issues so I see no potential issues with it now.

@babyseaotter99 no you can’t use jplay to play ripped cds stored locally. Not without additional configuration. It works great with qobuz and tidal though. 
if you want to run your local library Roon is the best tool for that.
