I'll stick with Roon. It's by far the best interface; it is connected with multiple services; the multi-room RAAT is second to none. Besides, what would I do nights and weekends if I didn't have to troubleshoot?
If you are not already a Roon user, do NOT buy Roon unless you are or are prepared to become an IT person. That includes changing hardware, configuring routers, and logging into system resource monitoring. If you are one of the unlucky half who have issues with Roon, you need those capabilities to semi-resolve them enough to use Roon.
Agreed build your Roon core/server on a very powerful machine and then put it somewhere outside the listening room. Use a quiet non-sup'd up endpoint streamer in your listening room.
This latest problem with Qobuz tracks is mostly on Qobuz I think...that seems reasonably clear at the Roon forum. Or at least the Roon Defense Force is out in full on it.
