@audiopacer Roon shoots itself in the foot whenever their own branded hardware falls short.
Good idea @mapman! I’ll shoot it.
Roon Issues - Not able to play certain tracks
I have been running into this issue when Roon is in the radio mode where spontaneously it runs into a track it can’t play. It just sits there trying to play it.
When I go to that album and attempt to manually play that same track on Qobuz the result is the same - it won’t play. Plays other tracks from the albums just fine.
If I go back to Roon radio and skip that track the next song is played no issues.
No such problems with Tidal.
I have rebooted the Roon Nucleus One, rebooted my network, rebooted my DAC.
Even signed out of streaming services and signed back in. No bueno. This is in addition to it being sluggish and requiring an almost daily reboot to maintain sound quality and proper operating speed. Now this…
Anyone else with this problem?

I have a Roon Nucleus Plus and have had difficulty loading Roon for the last couple of months. I occasionally have to reboot. Just recently, I will play an album and a song will simply not play and I have to get into the menu and choose the next song on the album. Also, when I choose "add next", the song currently playing craps out a minute or so later and switches to the "add next" song. |
@lalitk it very well may be the case that the next update will resolve the issue. But I think if I figure out the local library configuration with jplay I can live without roon. Jplay UI is very similar. It’s simple and robust. Sound quality is excellent and I would rate it above roon in thar department. It’s less processed sounding, more raw and closer to CD than to Roon. |
