Cable Wars - ASR Review of Kimber KS 1036 Silver RCA Cable ($4500 pair)

I think I’m at a point where I just don’t care.

I’m not throwing shade at ASR or their measurements. Instead, I’m at a point of:

If the Kimber KS sounds great to me in my system during my time, should I still ignore this subjective experience, sell the Kimber, and then have less perceived enjoyment with the Amazon RCA even if my entire foundation was superficial with the Kimber?

I don’t know, maybe I should post my response on ASR and do a comparison of Audiogon and ASR responses to see whether I can understand the great divide within this hobby.

@jasonbourne71 thanks for the private message. I couldn’t respond back, but I don’t want your 1.0 meter Kimber KS 1036 RCAs even if they sound “terrific” in your system. I’m more of a Cardas guy, but appreciate your enthusiasm and support of Kimber in private.

Kimber Kable is a company that leverages nearly 50 years of experience and knowledge in designing their cables. They’re not trying to impress anyone with the marketing BS. They make a solid product at every price point. They also don’t come out with a new model every few years or so unless they found a way to improve on a current design.
I use Kimber interconnects and power cables, all reasonably priced, in my system. Very happy with the performance and value they represent. I could care less what the oscilloscopians at ASR are measuring or saying. Use amazon cables if you want. Whatever floats your boat.

what is the point of this post?

$4.5k RCA cable on my opinion is money waste, unless someone wants to impress fellow audiophiles... there are many excellent cables available, e.g. https://www.accuphase.com/model/sr_cable.html at much lower price.

RCA cable, other than phono, on SQ impact Pareto chart stands low, unless initial cable is bad.
