@rauliruegas well, in the last 40y electronics materials engineering delivered much better wire, magnetics, isolation, magnetics etc., and I think phasemation is one of “analog dinosaur” companies on the top of the list today. Vintage stuff is vca...
Still looking for a new Moving Coil Cartridge
@stereo5 why MC in the first place? MC requires to invest a lot of $$ in SUT, phono-pre etc, and uses higher track force g settings (2g MC vs 1g MM). if you have $$ to spend, check Phasemation PP-200 MC cart
Technics SL-1200GAE or VPI HW-40 or …?
@arvincastro get G/GAE 1200 Technics TT, and you’ll be free to move to “main dish” such as records and cartridges!
Comparison of sonic qualities of some tonearms
@drbond +1 "So far, very few Audiogon members have expressed an ability to compare tonearms, which leads me to my conclusion: very few on this forum have actually compared tonearms, which rationally only leaves dealers, who, of course,” your obser...

@rauliruegas my question was if you have tried Phasemation SUTs, 300/500/100 series, to get your (respectful) opinion! I never said Denon oldie SUT is not good, but there is advantage to use balanced interconnects between MC and SUT.

@rauliruegas Phasemation T500/T500 featured with XLR balanced inputs, which benefit low output MCs. Have you tried Phasemation SUT yet? It has huge “special winding + permalloy” transformers, which stays linear in the range between 10Hz at low fre...

@bpoletti +1 on AT-OC9XML I also have AT-OC9XSL, which is also under $1k, and sounds amazing! ART-9 series are superb, particularly air-core with SUT!

@duketbrd88 I think you are good! Enjoi Accuphase sound!
Accuphase E-5000 factory power cord good enough?
my A48 Accuphase stock PC is heavy, ~12mm diam, 2m long. Cable with plugs measures 20mOhms, which is very low, comparing to other AC circuit elements, transformer alone is about 20 Ohms. Home pwr wiring has resistance btw 3..8mOhms/meter. Lower AC...
Accuphase E-5000 factory power cord good enough?
@macg19 have you seen Accuphase high grade power cables?
Accuphase E-5000 factory power cord good enough?
@duketbrd88 great, your system at y9our usage mode is not sensitive to power connection resistance increase! Surge protection (xtra) is good, I’ve seen damaged equipment w/o it!  enjoy the music!
