What happened to Mytek?
Mytek seems to have gone silent over the past 3 years or so. I looked around online and in their web site and can't find any recent product reviews, their news page and jobs listings haven't been updated since 2021 or so.
Did they silently go under?

I owned the first generation Manhattan, and it was phenomenal. I’m glad that I sold it off before they did their disappearing act. Mytek products on the cover of Stereophile more than once, and other audio magazines as well. It’s unbelievable how they just flat out disappeared. If their CEO winds up reappearing with another company, I hope that someone flags him, because I would stay the heck away. |
It all seems to come down to their plans and costs not aligning. Didn't they have a dispute with a manufacturer who ended up making their own line of products?? |
