Why vinyl

Cliff notes version.

The physical imperfects of vinyl wow us. 

Vinyl's playback has measurable errors of micro details that digital's "perfect payback" doesn't have.

Speed variations…won and flutter add to this.

Speed isn’t constant so timing isn’t perfect..eras pick up on this too.

Additional harmonics are caused by the needle in an imperfect ever changing grove.

My thought...does some digital playback replicate this or will it soon?

What about the people who don't have a "round" stylus?   

Why did somebody come along and 'Dig it al' up again in a Vinyl Thread. 

Same reason some of us still like to roll the occasional dube.  Makes little sense, but we love the process.  🤪
