Why vinyl

wsrrsw

Being a advocate of the Circular Economy the present day usage of Vinyl as a medium fit into this perfectly when considering the Olden Section of the Vinyl Collection.

Being a near 40 Year user of Vinyl with an evolving intent to experience replays at the best I can create. Vinyl is just that, 'Vinyl', very difficult to separate from as a means to listen to replays of music.

As a person who loves fishing closes their eyes in a quiet moment and sees themselves at the lake on on a boat. The user of Vinyl sees themselves ritually engaging in their passion and concerns for what is needed to keep on top of a good replay experience.

Just like the fisherman has a blank as a catch as quite unwanted, the Vinyl user will class surface noise, static, dirty stylus, or a manifest of a hum as their blank, they are in the most intense anticipation when the Power Goes On and the Needle Drops.

What's not too like.

Additionally, my most enjoyed experiences of being entertained by listening to recorded music and formed friendship's across 40 Years, have all germinated from my interests in Vinyl as the Medium and being introduced to a vast selection of the the supporting ancillaries to be used.

Added to that, I have travelled far within England to not too far from all corners, to meet with those who are likeminded in their interests in Vinyl and the supporting ancillaries to be used.

Cliff notes version.

The physical imperfects of vinyl wow us.

Vinyl's playback has measurable errors of micro details that digital's "perfect payback" doesn't have.

Speed variations…won and flutter add to this.

Speed isn’t constant so timing isn’t perfect..eras pick up on this too.

Additional harmonics are caused by the needle in an imperfect ever changing grove.

My thought...does some digital playback replicate this or will it soon?

Why did somebody come along and 'Dig it al' up again in a Vinyl Thread.
