Signaforce received your PM but unable to reply b/c I refuse to give Agon my CC info. Yes I have used Audiomica cables for a long time. They are neutral or some say very balanced sounding and as you go up their line (I think they have 5 or 6 series) they become more resolving without being bright or edgy. I currently use some of their Excellence Series as well as their Consequence Series. If I could afford it all my cables would be from the Consequence line. Unfortunately I've never required a USB cable but I'd be surprised if you didn't like it. Please keep us posted once you hear it.
USB cable recommendations
I recently purchased the Bricasti M3 for my system & am looking to upgrade my A-B USB cable. I currently have 2 USB cables that I used with my prior DAC (Qutest), a Cardas Clear that I preferred with my Qutest & an XLO ultra plus that I far prefer with my M3. It is OCC copper & actually sounds very good, but wondering if I can do better.
My target price is around $500 used, certainly willing to do less & willing to do more for the ’right’ cable. I am looking for a cable that is absolutely neutral.
I actually tried to buy an AQ diamond used yesterday, but was 2 hours late. Not sure if it was the right choice, but it was a great price & could resell if not right.
My virtual system is available, but my digital side is: Aurender N150 > XLO ultra+ > Bricasti M3 > Zavfino Arcadia > PSAudio BHK w/tele medical NOS tubes > Zavfino Fusion mk2 > SimAudio Moon 330A > Transparent + gen 5 > KEF Reference 3’s.
Please let me know your thoughts and/or recommendations. Thanks!

@fire_water I have not tried any audience products truth be told. There are so many manufacturers. But compared to stock vs wire world platinum, there was a big jump to the Alpha. That being said I'd love to try some audience stuff in general. But we can't try every cable can we? There's a certain point after comparing 3 or 4 cables when I feel it's time to just listen to the music right? Best of luck to all on their cable hunts. Biggest suggestion I can give is compare at least e different cables! |
+1 audience studio one $895 Have a Bricasti M3 as well. My streaming system consists of a Innuos zenith mk3, Innuos phoenix USB, Bricasti M3, to an Anthem pre-amp. I also own the innuos Phoenix NET Ethernet switch, Borrowed two cables from the lending library at The Cable Company (thecableco.com). Was set to buy the DH Labs Mirage ($295) and then connected the audience studio one ($895) that @audphile1 recommended (see below) in an earlier post of mine. Wow, the sound became fuller, holographic and resulted in an amazing soundstage. Yes, the Mirage was good, but the studio one was fantastic to my ears. good luck! @audphile1 “Audience StudioOne - excellent cable. This is the one I ended up using until I sold my N200. Natural and fatigue-free sound, great tone.” |
@rsf507 Thanks! looking forward to it’s arrival! |
@jrareform no, unfortunately we can't try everything. I did hear the Audience line-up and decided to replace my Ansuz X2 USB with an Audience FrontRow USB which should arrive any day now. Audience makes some real sexy cables and I plan on buying Audience FrontRow-Reserve XLR'S next! Luckily for me my dealer can provide me with an in-home demo that includes the FrontRow-Reserve and a few other competive XLR'S as these cables aren't cheap and I need 2 sets. I'm also waiting for my new Furutech FURUTECH DPS-4.1 (OCC-DUC) 11AWG Power Cable with Furutech AC FI-50-NCF(R) Plug Male/Female which will be replacing the factory power cord on my Innuos Pulsar Streamer. And I'm waiting for my new Furutech JumperFlux-S which will be replacing the factory terminal jumpers on my LaScala AL5 speakers. Room treatment is still in the works.
