Ethernet switch worthwhile?

Regarding the iFi LAN iPurifier Pro, in my case it was an inexpensive minor improvement using an Aurender N150, and not effective using an Innuos Pulsar.  To make things even more confusing there was no improvement at all until I got the upgraded iPOWER  power supply.  So kinda like what I said before. Too Many Variable’s. You won’t know til you try.

My fiber optic modem's switch is all I require.

most with high resolution systems would say yes, although it is more of an ’optimization’ step rather than a fundamental upgrade

meaning get your speakers, room, amplification and source components well chosen and dialed in first before doing switches, cables and so on

Very interested in your thoughts on it 

Is a switch of any benefit if there is only the one ethernet cable going to the streamer and no other connections? I would think not but don’t know if I am missing something.

I will add that when I had two network connections, I tried a Bonn N8 Silent Angel switch with its dedicated LPS and could not detect a difference.
