Ethernet switch worthwhile?
Is anyone using an audiophile ethernet switch for streaming as is it worth it? Recently was recommended using Uptone Audio EtherRegen switch to remove noise and jitter from the ethernet cable before it enters my Aurender N10 streamer. Or does the N10 also remove the same once it enters its own ethernet connection? Also read Synergistic Research ethernet switch is very good. Thoughts?
Is a switch of any benefit if there is only the one ethernet cable going to the streamer and no other connections? I would think not but don’t know if I am missing something. I will add that when I had two network connections, I tried a Bonn N8 Silent Angel switch with its dedicated LPS and could not detect a difference. |
@ghdprentice - just thought you’d want to know that it doesn’t matter how average or resolving a system one might have, a good well-engineered switch will make a positive difference to sound realism. With certain set-ups that difference can be substantial.
