Who here continues to regularly use a CD player?

I do have a CD player, however, at this point, I rarely use it. I mostly listen to vinyl and stream.

Do you still regularly use your CD spinner?

50%-50%. I like CD’s for more serious listening and the streamer for convenience when I feel lazy. SQ is very close between my CDP and Innuos ZEN Mk3 streamer.

FM running most all the time (blessed with good local stations and love my Accuphase T-1200 or McIntosh MR78). For focused listening, 70% SACD/CD and 30% streaming.  After trying for 10 years or so, I still can't get a good handle on streaming, but I haven't given up.

Yes, maybe 25% of the time I play CD or SACD using a Marantz SA-KI Ruby player/DAC. The sound quality is amazing, and it sounds better than streaming Tidal through the unit’s DAC. I do stream about 50% of the time for convenience and to discover new music. If I like something new, I generally buy it on CD or Vinyl at that point.

There is just something about holding physical media in my hands while listening. Be it LP's, CD's or otherwise. My record collecting days go back to the 70's. Some of what I've acquired goes back to the 1950's. There are jewels in my collection the likes of which are represented by boxes of radio transcriptions, handwritten letters and notes and other things that elevate the listening experience. My better half is going to need TWO dumpsters when I kick the bucket!
