@george_r ”l want to own my music…”
Great spirit there. Gives the artists more revenue, and you keep the physical touch too.
I don’t stream but l do tune in to Net Radio for the film soundtrack channels that meet my tastes. Not a serious listening in depth with radio as it does not bond with me, or have the same “connection” as far as l’m concerned. I let it just fill the background, so to speak. If something catches my attention l will note the it down, and maybe investigate and ultimately buy the CD.
l am similar to you in having two sources to listen to my CDs. I have a Cambridge Audio 752BD in the UK which is a badged Oppo, with a few of Cambridge’s own tweaks. I believe it’s ranked between the Oppo 103 & 105. Use it for SACD and films, but l have kept my Cambridge CXC primarily for CDs. The universal 752BD player l want to preserve long term. Universal players are not the big thing they were and harder to replace. The 752BD was the best it got for Cambridge, plus it is so versatile in many other ways too. So it makes sense to spin my collection on a second source.
