Mini amp with passlabs / tube like sound

Hello,

i am looking for a small low wattage amp, preferably solid state (as I’ve been burning out too many tube amps) for my dining room setup with home made open baffle speakers.

The speakers work well with tubes and a small set amp, have been using the small amp from musical paradise, but I’m open to suggestions.

what would make a good small simple amp with a set tube like sound?

thanks,

Richard

paradisecom "You can usually find used Amp Camp amps at reasonable prices.  1 (or 2) of those fit the criteria you're looking for."

Amp Camp amps are not really great they have hi distorition #'s, they were designed for DYI teaching classes not critical listning.

There are better optons out there.

I've been looking for an all in one SS DH/SET replacement for the past year and a half and the Heed Obelisk Si Mk3 Integrated Amplifier is the only one I came up with.

Some conflicting reviews - which is par for the course.

Suspect you might like the looks of it in White.

Here's and inexpensive "musical" one one that Steve likes per his YT review, however a used Heed usually sells in the $800-$1000 range,

I'm now interested in the Quad 33/303 re-pops (owned/liked the originals).
