Eminent Technology LFT 7 !!
Not a missprint! LFT 7 was the LFT 6 with additional bass panels. The bass panels had 3 bass drivers per panel. 4 panels total. Would like to hear them or purchase them.

The LFT 6 was released in 1988. The LFT7 was only available in 1989. Late 1989, early 1990 the LFT8 was released. I'm sure because of manufacturing cost, the LFT6 and LFT7 were discontinued. Also, Bruce felt the LFT8 main driver with a dedicated tweeter was an improvement over the original LFT design. These dates are from the Eminent Technology website under the HISTORY tab. |
What ever happened with your LFT7 project? Nothing after "Will finally hear these later this evening." I am very curious as I am in the process of finishing up a refresh of my LFT4s (including replacing the diaphragms) & plan to jump into refreshing the 2 pr of LFT6 I have to make them into a pr of LFT7. My new pair of hips are finally allowing me to move speakers and get on my knees. My New build LFT6 is finally up and making music. ET also built me a pair of LFT6W which appears to be three of the LFT3 dedicated bass panels, stacked. It matches the height of the LFT6. Just a bit narrower. The LFT6 appears to be a three segment LFT4 with the ET dedicated tweeter. Can you tell I am an Eminent Technology devotee? If you own or have owned the LFT6, what is your preferred LP setting to whatever bass speakers you use? What is your preferred HP setting to the main panel?
