Do you own gear from defunct brands?

I bought my first stereo setup in 1977, though before that I had a stereo that was cobbled together from bits that I could cobble together.. Over the years I’ve purchased new equipment from companies that eventually went under. Do you have or had gear in your system from companies that went under?

Right now I have a streaming transport from Auralic, which went out of business in September 2025. I owned a CAL cd player and that company went under while I owned that cd player. There’s been others too-

Merrill Heirloom turntable

Carver SD/A 490t CD player

McCormack DNA-250 amp

Thiel CS2.7 speakers

All my gear is from "defunked" brands except my phono cartridge, CD "transport," one of my amps (ML9) and some of the components' tubes.

The "defunked" brand of most of my components is Herron Audio.

My body  and my hearing ,I'm getting old. Sad my aurilic is gone, lots of carver stuff but still can be rebuilt and all my infinity speakers. Bob carver was an epic designer in his day. My carver 760 will put out 2k  in transients. Monster elagansia ,surge protectors.vmps, pipe dreams, several cd players. I better go listen to music for it goes out.enjoy the paperweights
