@larsman +1 I find the categorical omissions even more interesting. e.g. J.S. Bach, not a slouch of a musician, allegedly, with huge influence. Let's not even get started on Biber.
Then also no Avantgarde artists: Laurie Anderson, Annie Lennox, Klaus Schulze, Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Basically, yawn, particularly the utterly overrated "#1".

A list of underappreciated artists worthy of exploration might be more interesting and worth perusing.

Like the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame worth nothing!
