I agree with @larsman that these lists are created to drive attention and engagement. Still, they're sorta interesting. If you seek a real challenge - try to create a ranked list of top artists or albums just for yourself. It's trickier than you might think.

@larsman +1 I find the categorical omissions even more interesting. e.g. J.S. Bach, not a slouch of a musician, allegedly, with huge influence. Let's not even get started on Biber. Basically, yawn, particularly the utterly overrated "#1". A list of underappreciated artists worthy of exploration might be more interesting and worth perusing. |
