I attended today. It wasn’t what I expected (in a negative way). The venue was unassuming. No banners or anything to indicate a major audio show was underway.
I bought a vip ticket that promised perks that were nonexistent. All I got was a cheap paper bracelet.
However I wasn’t completely disappointed. It was my first show. I enjoyed overhearing experts discussing tariffs and music. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Guttenberg and Gingko Audio. I visited the PS Audio room featuring the new PMG line. Mr. McGowan was in the room but I was too shy to say hi.
It was a good experience. I’ll be back tomorrow and hope to run into other industry folks. I forgot to mention that I got a complementary copy of the bible—Stereophile.
