Recommended a highly resolving cartridge

Hi all, all tube system that is warm with a good midrange presence inherently. I’m looking for a cartridge that offers high detail / resolution and wide / deep soundstage. This is on a stock SL-1200G TT. On a side note, if anyone has experience “upgrading” the stock tonearm on a G please chime in. I’ve read conflicting reports of the merits of such a move, and while I’m very happy with the tone of my TT and am not looking to move off of it, I am curious about a tonearm swap (must allow for headshell swapping).

@slaw Linn wasn't even on my radar, sounds like you're right it's a worthy suggestion. Still pleased with my ART20 decision, looking forward to hopefully giving it a spin in the next day or so.

I heard a Linn Kandid in a show, and I was amazed of the details it can extract on the grooves. I have the Hana Blue, and I am happy with its ability to extract details, but the LINN is another level.

Of all the carts I’ve owned over the years the best at digging the most out of the groves were ones with Van Den Hul styluses.  The VDH carts are also excellent at this. But many manufacturers use VDH styluses.

Check my listing here on Audiogon. It's for a brand new, unused, Audio Technica ART9xi, mounted on a beautiful headshell. It's all set up to plug and play with your SL1200G----that was the turntable I was using, but I sold it. Its a great cartridge.
