Chair

I’ve been thoroughly bitten by the couch. My listening chair that is.
I’m forced to cut my listening sessions short due to lower back pain (chronic, result of an old injury). Looking to get something that would be comfortable enough to not aggravate the nerve in my tukhes and align properly with my speakers in a sweet spot.
Eames replica in leather? Ikea Poang? Anything else? What do you use?

I have sat in authentic and replica Eames chairs and find them uncomfortable, and I really don't like the style. I have owned Ekornes Stressless recliners and they are extremely comfortable, but that headrest definitely negatively affects SQ. I currently use a plain Jane rocking chair, and love it. It's comfortable, but not "fall asleep in it" level.

I've had 6 back surgeries, the last one a 12 hour marathon.

The best thing is to get up often. I seldom sit for more than 30 minutes at a time.

@lalitk The Eames are comfortable enough and have a big big cool factor but as you have got Tannoys the Eames will be lower than the very often recommended have your ears near the tweeters rule. A neighbour gave me an immaculate vintage Eames. What an amazing gift. I was stunned. However, I compared the Eames to the Stresless for SQ and it was no contest. Ears up. Needle down.

I had a stressless and got rid of it because the back of the chair extended above my head and messed up the sound; got an Eames chair and ottoman 3 years ago and haven't looked back (I also like to swivel, which my stressless couldn't do). It is lower than most listening chairs, but my particular monitor speakers (Marten Parker Duo) and stands are designed to be a lot higher than most speakers are, with ear level being towards the lower half of woofer, so that slight difference in chair height doesn't make much difference.

Those classic 45 rpm reissues makes me get up 10–12 minutes 😄
