I’m using a Stressless Max. Very comfortable recliner but what I like most is that the back and seat can be adjusted separately. So if I’m doing some serious listening, I can leave the seat parallel to the floor and lower the back so it’s not right behind my head and therefore won’t impact the sound.
Chair
I’ve been thoroughly bitten by the couch. My listening chair that is.
I’m forced to cut my listening sessions short due to lower back pain (chronic, result of an old injury). Looking to get something that would be comfortable enough to not aggravate the nerve in my tukhes and align properly with my speakers in a sweet spot.
Eames replica in leather? Ikea Poang? Anything else? What do you use?

I have sat in authentic and replica Eames chairs and find them uncomfortable, and I really don't like the style. I have owned Ekornes Stressless recliners and they are extremely comfortable, but that headrest definitely negatively affects SQ. I currently use a plain Jane rocking chair, and love it. It's comfortable, but not "fall asleep in it" level. |
@lalitk The Eames are comfortable enough and have a big big cool factor but as you have got Tannoys the Eames will be lower than the very often recommended have your ears near the tweeters rule. A neighbour gave me an immaculate vintage Eames. What an amazing gift. I was stunned. However, I compared the Eames to the Stresless for SQ and it was no contest. Ears up. Needle down. |
