Anyone still using this player? Sony DVP-S9000ES

I had this player at one time,...and my memory has, likely, kept a better audio memory than it may have actually had.  Am I simply having a fond old memory, or is this still a good player for audio?  Any experience?  Thanks.

I have one, its a great machine.....    once I move it will go into a 2nd system.   Not many machines built like that today.

Still a very good transport and really shines with a external DAC.Im streaming my music the last 3 years but occasionally you come across a CD that no streaming service has and having a dedicated CD play is great.I might use it like 10 times a year .

I purchased this unit in 2020 used but in great condition. I have two other players that get more time in my current setup but the Sony will always have its place. Built like a tank.

I'm the owner 3 of these units, transport is built like a tank and used exclusively as that for movable Media(with external DACs) they have proven to be more than a good investment. I used to be a Service Manager/Tech at a  west coast High-End HiFi Store so I got Sony (as well as many other Mfr's)  Service Training and Certifications which has been more that beneficial to say the lease. Maintaining  the units is a must! I've stood these units up to trials against units much more expensive and the s9000 ES hands down out preformed. I know these units won't last forever and at my age my hearing is rolling off at ~17Khz or so, for the age of the units, I'd say they were well worth the investment!
