When do the new Atmasphere Class D come out?

Just wondering, now that we've seen all the cool patents. :)

Ralph say it will be a while.
It takes time to make a viable/reliable product, let alone designing the boards and cases.
Too bad for me as I could use a pair while he is checking out why my amp and UV-1 are buzzing.
Bob
@gdnrbob  We've got a UV-1 in the shop right now that a customer sent; a friend of his that borrowed it said it was humming. We can't get it to do it; I think the problem is either cables or its very near a power transformer of some sort.

Regarding the class D project we are considering playing a prototype for a local audio club. Its sounding good enough that we can feel confident with that, but at the same time we can still do better. We're not in any hurry to get it to market, but we are thinking the fall of this year is very possible.
@atmasphere ,
Thanks for the info Ralph.
I am waiting on a new set of cables to see if that helps with the buzz.
The only thing next to the UV-1 is an Ayre Codex DAC and a LCD monitor. The amps are at least 3 feet away.

When you need a Beta tester, look no further.

@gdnrbob
You may have DC on the line. That produces more of a buzz than a hum.

Try turning off all other electrical circuits in the house and see if it goes away. Fancy light systems like dimmable LEDs or flourescents can do this too.

Best,
E

Thanks Erik,
Ralph and I have been going through just about everything, to no avail.
Everything is quiet until I install the UV-1.
Also, dedicated line to my upstairs system.
Something about my McCormack Micro Power Drives and the UV-1 don't want to work together. The worst part is discounting the buzz, the UV-1 is so much better than my current preamp (an upgraded Micro Line preamp).
Bob
@gdnrbob  Didn't we get that preamp back here for observation? I seem to recall that we did. If so, we might have to get the amp and preamp here at the same time. FWIW the McCormack stuff we've seen here so far has been very competent so I've no reason to expect they would not work together but you never know.
The only thing next to the UV-1 is an Ayre Codex DAC and a LCD monitor.

@gdnrbob, one thing I would certainly try, if you already haven't, is turning off the monitor and disconnecting it from the AC.

Best regards,

Forgot to ask, is thert a coaxial TV connection anywhere in this system? If so, disconnect it as an experiment.
