Original Nola Boxer Replacement, Maybe?

Howdy, its been awhile but wanted to know if anyone has lived with these speakers like I have, probably around 8 yrs. do ya'll think in the more modern designs if there might be something better under $1000 a pair?

I've had both the original Boxers and the S1 upgraded version and both were better than anything I had previously. The only serious competition among those others I've owned has come from DeVore and Reference 3A.
I love my Boxers.  They've essentially taken me out of the market. I also have to say that though in theory I wouldn't be against trying something new, I now live far enough away from any high-end retail stereo outlet to make even a cursory audition of replacement speakers a major, major undertaking.
You could try the new LSA-10 Signature available here for $1399 on a 30-day trial and send them back if they don’t meaningfully surpass your Boxers.  The new LSA models are getting very good reviews.
You won't find anything under a $1000 that's all that close unless you get a great deal on used.
nola boxers are great speakers. i am not sure you'll find anything under 1K that won't be a lateral move.
