REW without avr/pre-pro?
REW will work on your setup.  An AVR isn't needed.  you just need an analog audio input on the Preamp to connect your laptop/ Soundcard to and you'll be good to go.You'll be restricted in your tuning tools, however, to tone controls, speaker place...
Replacing a Sonos Connect with another Streamer - The digital dilemma!
It looks like you could just use a regular set of stereo RCA cables from the "Line Out" of the Cambridge unit to an input on the MA6500.  You could use the "CD1" or "CD2" inputs and be good to go.
Experience With Linear Tracking Turntables
I have an early 80's Pioneer PL-L800 that I found in a thrift shop for $15.  It had no cartridge, so they couldn't test it.  I took it home and to be cautious, I installed a simple Ortofon Omega ($36) cartridge.  It plays great and it's one of the...
What room treatment product have transformed your room or audio system?
I made (8) 4' x 2' x 2" panels, with fabric, mounting hardware and shipping costs for just over $200 with products from ATS Acoustics.I mounted 6 of these in my home office and it made a dramatic improvement in the sound of my system.  The other 2...
Paying with a cashiers check? Need advice!
I'm amazed how many people here are so quick to accuse the seller, with 18 years of positive feedback on Agon, to be a scammer.  OP, have you just tried calling and speaking with the seller?  Maybe do a facetime call where the seller can demo the ...
Sonus Faber speaker boxes worth $1200 ?
Which model of SF speakers are they for?  $1200 might not be too bad if they're for a set of Strad's or Elipsa's.  I would want them to be perfect and include each piece of internal packing, though.
Looking for a ‘’No braine’r Integrated amplifier under 7500 or so
I’d check out the offerings from the following, (in no particular order):Accuphase, Luxman, McIntosh, Krell & Devialet.
You could also have a friend/ relative or forum member go and look at the speakers for you.  If the seller has good feedback, then my biggest fear would be shipping damage.
Thanks for the heads-up!
About to invest in room treatments; GIK, RealTraps, DIY -- what is your experience?
I just purchased all the materials from ATS Acoustics and built everything myself. The finished products are great and my listening room is a whole new animal, now. It really changed the room for the better. For just over $200, I was able to make ...
Phono preamp or preamp with phono selection ????
Hopefully after 16 years, the OP made a decision...
Rel G2 sub still competitive?
I'd say to just repair it, if it's not cost-prohibitive.  It sounds like you really like it.  It's a nice unit, for sure.  I'm still rocking my old REL ST subs from many years ago.
Good quality wireless, active speakers ??
Hopefully after 4 years, the OP made a decision.
Budget tower speakers that rock!

McIntosh fuse changeout to make better sound
IMO, "upgrading" a fuse is like upgrading a 1" section of the hot wire contained in the romex, somewhere between your breaker panel and the outlet.
