Subs with room correction DSP?
@macg19 Thanks for that detailed response. I guess it's really room dependent. One of the reviews I read showed REW measurements with ARC on and off and there was an obvious smoothing in the bass response at the listening position. He only used hi...
Subs with room correction DSP?
@macg19  I'm interested in your comment on the Paradigm and Martin Logan subs. I've read some pretty good reviews on them, even here on Audiogon, saying they offered clean tight bass and that the room correction gave a smooth response in the liste...
Are there any more good multi format disc players out there?
Not sure if you're still looking but I just saw this. Might be worth keeping your eyes on it. https://www.avsforum.com/threads/brand-new-uhd-player-magnetar-upd-800-massive-and-solid-build.3253694/

Early on the Reavon would play only the lower resolution layer of DVD-a discs but apparently that was fixed in a firmware update about 6 months ago. Can't hurt to contact them and make sure.

@jonasandezekiel  There are dedicated threads on both avsforum and avforums. There's also the Pannde PD-6 but it looks like it's only available in Asia and Europe. The Sony is the only reasonably priced player on the market that plays all format...

The Reavon 110 and 200 both play multi channel SACD and DVD-Audio. So does the Sony 800mk2.
SONUS FABER LUMINA I ?
@rocker9999  Did you ever make a decision on these? I'm considering them too for a desktop set up. Also considering Arendal 1961 bookshelf, MartinLogan 15i and Aperion Audio Novus bookshelf.
Desktop Speakers
Off the top of my head two that might work well for you... Arendal 1961 bookshelf   Aperion Audio Novus Slim N6SR   Both are sealed and shallow in depth. The Arendal has a great review with measurements on Erin's Audio Corner.
How do I use the KEF Kube 2 w/ my Denon receiver?

Svs, Rel, or ?.
Martin Logan Dynamo 800x. Comes with two apps, one to control all aspects of the sub and the other to control the built in Anthem Room Correction. Sub can also be configured for front or down-firing.
Can recommend some non-fatigue SMALL bookshelf for near-field listening?
I forgot to mention the Aperion Novus has a plug on the back which, when removed, reduces the treble by 3db. They'll also be offering these in gloss black soon.

Check out the Aperion Audio Novus Bookshelf. Decent review here and starting at 6:15 he talks about using them on his desktop.
Short list of musical subwoofers
A while back @midareff1 started a thread asking for input on musical subs. Long story short he ordered the Martin Logan Dynamo 800x. He loves it!
Sub for single-driver desktop speakers
Another member on this forum bought the MartinLogan Dynamo 800x for his music only system and absolutely loves it. (Can't remember his name). It has the ability to be front or bottom firing, has an app for full control and includes Anthem Room Cor...
2.1 to 5.2 (Vandersteen 2C)
Hi holmz, glad you made it over here and getting some good advice. I can't comment on the above info except to say about 3 years ago my wife and I added two bass shakers under our couch and absolutely love them. Aurasound and a beefy plate amp whi...
