I had soured on the MFSL $60/sweet spot releases after buying/ hearing for myself Simon and Garfunkel...Bookends and Bridge. Very disappointed.

Analog Productions, Rhino High Fidelity, Original Jazz Classics - comments
I have been acquiring high-quality replacements and additions to my vinyl collection from Acoustic Sounds (Analog Productions) and everything about their engineering and pressings are stellar. Especially the UHQR and 45 RPM products. I have just placed my first order from Rhino High Fidelity and from reviews, I expect great things. Last night I came across a review of some Original Jazz Classics and it appears that they are exceptional as well. I was wondering if there are any other "Specialty" catalogs out there that are also focused on the silent heavy viny, analog tape transfers, and pristine pressings that i need to be aware of. I also have MoFi OMRs.
With any of these productions, I always look for reviews and comments concerning their comparisons to the best versions of an album before I spend the higher amounts of money.

@maam522a just received Marley Exodus the Vinylphile pressing. Very nice packaging. Vinyl got an ultrasonic bath in my Humminguru Nova. Very impressed with sound quality! Airy, detailed and natural. Great soundstage. Bob Marley’s voice is ever so slightly recessed but nothing major. My phono stage is ice cold after I powered it down yesterday after we lost power briefly. It requires solid 3+hrs to come back to full glory but man sweet sound coming out of the speakers with this album! Very happy and will be ordering a few more records from the Vinylphile series |
Today I received 3 albums from Rhino High Fidelity. Dusty Springfield, Emmy Lou Harris, and Crosby Stills and Nash. The Gatefold packaging is excellent and comes with all the bells and whistles. Just listened to Dusty in Memphis and the SQ is as good as any 33 1/3 that i have listened to from a mastering, pressing, perspective. Very quiet and dynamic. |
