Check out Contemporary Records (Acoustic Sounds Series). They are excellent recordings. I can't think of any exceptions. Two standouts are the Prince Lasha Quintet/The Cry! and Ben Webster/Live at the Renaissance.
Analog Productions, Rhino High Fidelity, Original Jazz Classics - comments
I have been acquiring high-quality replacements and additions to my vinyl collection from Acoustic Sounds (Analog Productions) and everything about their engineering and pressings are stellar. Especially the UHQR and 45 RPM products. I have just placed my first order from Rhino High Fidelity and from reviews, I expect great things. Last night I came across a review of some Original Jazz Classics and it appears that they are exceptional as well. I was wondering if there are any other "Specialty" catalogs out there that are also focused on the silent heavy viny, analog tape transfers, and pristine pressings that i need to be aware of. I also have MoFi OMRs.
With any of these productions, I always look for reviews and comments concerning their comparisons to the best versions of an album before I spend the higher amounts of money.

@willyht Thank you for the recommendation. I find that i have to spend big money to get a small improvement in sound quality when it comes to my system, but the quality level of these new releases takes the listening experience up in a substantial way. |
@willyht @mofimadness It looks like the real change agent in this game is Acoustic Sounds - Quality Record Pressings. I need to look up their story. I believe they are setting a new level with their quality vinyl formulations and stamper creation processes.

@maam522a Craft OJC is excellent I just ordered Bob Marley’s Exodus from Udiscover(UMG). The album is part of the Vinylphile series all analog mastering. Supposed to be good. |
