Power Cord for Accuphase Amplifier

I have a new Accuphase P-4600 amplifier and am looking for a power cord to replace the stock. So far I’ve tried the Cullen Crossfire and the IceAge OFC Frankencable. While both cables have worked well on my source components they have not performed better than the stock on the amplifier. So to those who have Accuphase amplifiers what power cable has worked for you?

As I mentioned in other threads Accuphase strongly recommends that you use only the stock cord and so far that has been the best. The. other two have resulted in a darker sound with less soundscape openness.

I’ve been trying to stay under $500 for the cord but would be willing to go a little higher if it improves the amps performance.

@milpai

So I went back on your older responses and see that you have mentioned the same thing for Audioquest Hurricane power cord. That is when it struck me that it must be your age and your ears.

LMAO. That was funny. Really.

Some of us are able to multitask. I am not old. My ears are fine. And you’re wrong on all counts except the amp and speakers I own.

Enjoy reading thru my posts!

A few days ago a group of local audiophiles met at my place and we had a listening session. They loved what they heard. But the best comment made was - "how come my treble does not sound like this?"

And I have to agree. The PAD Neptune Diamond Revision made a very positive impact on the Accuphase. As such Class A sounds nice. But this PAD cable elevates that performance to next level. I am so impressed by this PAD, that I have ordered the PAD Aqueous for my DAC.

I have enjoyed reading about your Audio journey. Good to learn that you found a sonic match PC for the Accuphase amp.

Happy Listening!
