Sounds like a positive and nice spin on the Kris Kristofferson penned "Sunday morning Coming Down". Enjoy the music
My system is a time machine
Early Sunday morning, everyone is asleep, I'm streaming 80's music. For some reason Sunday mornings my system sounds the best, this morning it's just hitting me. Listening to songs of my youth with decades of wisdom in between. Not only are these songs bringing me back to my youth, they are brining up memories I have not thought about in 30 years. A different time and place, when music hit hard, but on my boom-box sounded so bad, then as a teen had staked speakers stuck in the corner of my room, just to play as loud as possible. Now I have a revealing pure setup listening to the music with new ears, thinking about time long past.
Sunday morning listening sessions are the best.

In my youth, I typically heard music played on cheap equipment and more often than not, on transistor radios. In my adolescence, some friends had component systems but the sound was midfi at best. Accordingly, in my brain, there is no connection/correlation between the emotional impact of the music I heard in my first 20 years and high end sonics. It’s the musical structures (melody, harmony, rhythms), lyrics and the emotions artists put into their music that affect me and "transport me back". |
@tooblue I was just humming this yesterday. Popped in to my head. |
