Are there any current production great speakers using AMT tweeters?

Interesting link regarding tweaks to make the AMT drivers sound better and blend more smoothly with woofers and mids. Paul McGowan at PS Audio says he has a long history with the AMT, dating back to its original release. He also reports that he tried to make an AMT work well for the Aspen line of speakers, but the planar tweeter and midrange developed by Chris Brunhaver proved to sound better than the AMT.

For the $15K you could get a  stand mount speaker with drivers of all the same material across  woofer, midrange, tweeter with a real plywood cabinet: Yamaha NS 5000.

Although created and sold as a pro audio product I would highly recommend the $10,500 complete package that I curated with evolution acoustics  

The price is quite the bargain, in pro audio we have to keep prices down.

 A friend of mine bought some AMT 3 Rock monitors new in the late 70's. They sound great, even after all these years. He tried other speakers but always came back to these. 

 So yes, these vintage Heil motion tweeters can still hold their own.

I take back earlier comments- I have heard a couple decent AMTs- Pure Audio Project, Philharmonic BMR monitors, Legacy Calibre.  The center image was very good on those speakers.  Loved the BMRs but very amp dependent.  

Borreson, PS Audio and GoldenEar all had varying degrees if image wander/ drop out.
