I would recommend the Analysis Plus mentioned above. Keep in mind that they require some serious break in time to reach the optimum quality that you want. Probably 200 hrs. Don't give up on them, I almost did. Then one day everything snapped into focus.
Suggest a XLR cable with Bass Response
I have an ISO-Max Jensen transformer. This unit takes hi-level output from my amps and converts it to a balanced output for my subs. Works very well.
So, my question is can anyone suggest an XLR cable that is best for bass response? Not necessary bass boom but bass clarity.
Years ago, I thought the Cardas Golden Reference was good, but it may have just been the equipment that I had at that time.
So, can anyone recommend a cable?

@ozzy Also can recommend HIJIRI cables. They occasionally pop up used and that’s how I have sourced some. Others have come form Colin King @Gestalt Audio. If you search these fora you will find heaps of praise about dealing with him. Like many cable makers HIJIRI has several levels of cables. The better cables (not sure about at what level) have grounding wires. I never bothered to use the grounding wires but when I did. BAM!

@ozzy I have a 1M pair of XLR Better Cable Blue Truth Ultra for sale here on Audiogon that I felt, when I was using them, represented the whole musical range quite well. I am only selling them as I reconfigured my system and needed longer cables. Current retail on these cables is $290 but I will sell the pair for $100 and include shipping to US addresses (the add doesn't say free shipping but I am making that offer here). If interested let me know, thanks. |
@ozzy can you provide a link to the Jensen transformer you are using to convert high-level to XLR? |
