Hi all. Question for the esteemed group in this thread. I have a chance to purchase a pair of CS 3.6. Drivers are reported to be in great shape and to sound great. No reported work to any of the drivers or crossovers. Some minor cosmetic items (mainly small scratches) closer to the base of the speakers, but sides and top look good. I’m not looking to compare them to the 3.7s or 2.4s, etc. Simply are these at $1200/$1300 still worth owning? Or have we made so many leaps forward in speaker research and production since the mid-90s that these are now a relic? Of course I’d listen/demo before purchasing. Trying to decide if I should make a short trip (1 hour each way) to demo. I have plenty of current (which I know these need, so no worries there). Would love the feedback of this group of Thiel enthusiasts.

@jafant you can see my system on my profile page. I’m all over the board on music but listen more to classic rock and pop, more recent female vocalists as well as classical and jazz. |
