Dynaudio Confidence Alternatives

With the recent news regarding Dynaudio’s departure from the U.S. market, I’ve decided to pursue alternatives to the Confidence 20. I currently have the Contour 20i and saved up $13k to invest in an upgrade. I have tried several speaker manufacturers in the past and keep coming back to the Dynaudio sound signature.

What I like most is the non-fatiguing resolution, overall body & weight of the sound they produce. I also enjoy the ability to play loud without losing any composure.

Suggestions are appreciated for those that have experience with the Dynaudio sound. I can stretch up to $15k if needed.

Thanks in advance.

I’d add the Joseph Audio Pulsar, ProAc K1, and Acora QRB.  Best of luck.

If you like the Dynaudio Confidence go for it. There will be great liquidation sales. Resale value should also be good in the future as they will be rare on the market afterwards. Otherwise Joseph Audio or Devore IMHO. Proud owner of a pair of Dynaudio Contour Legacy.

For $15K look at Yamaha NS-5000. All drivers are the same material. Max wattage is 600. Baffle is 3 cm plywood. Box is 2 cm plywood. 72 pounds. CAD joinery. Overengineered painted steel stands accept casters.

I went from Dyn to Sonus Faber, not really the same sound though. I think other options would be Audiovector, Joseph Audio, Acora.

Although, now, I would love to get my hands on a used Contour Legacy , used to own the Contour 30i.
